however, my camera battery is dead, i am tired, and therefore too lazy to walk across the room and get the other one. but maybe tomorrow..
long day. we did three baths and only two wet wraps today as opposed to three baths and three wet wraps yesterday which is great. his middle bath from now on will just be soak for 20 min and then lotion and clothes instead of wet stuff, which makes me happy. his face looks SOOOOOOOOOO great that we don't have to wrap his head anymore at all unless it takes a turn for the worst or something. his face is so soft and sweet and his eyes aren't red, he just looks like a different kid. :)
his body is getting there. we tried to do a skin prick test today, which i was OVER THE MOON excited about, but it wouldn't work. i had given him zyrtec on monday and apparently, that is the one drug that takes 5 to 7 days to get out of his system. so they did the control prick with the histamine and he did not react, which means he would not react to anything. so we have to wait until monday. actually, it's better because his back was only clear enough for 5 to 10 pricks and the doctor wants to do 23. if we get any negative prick tests, there is a 95% chance that he would do fine with that food. if we get any positive prick tests, there is still a 45% chance that he would do ok with it. enter food challenges. we will draw a list from the prick test of food and start food challenges on tuesday. hopefully. if he doesn't clear over the weekend then that may be put off. so we will do our best to make that happen.
we were also filmed a bit today by a crew doing a story on blake. they took interest in grayson because we are there because of the article we read about blake, and because their stories are so similar. the hospital wants to get word out to other moms like becky and i who have been withholding food from our kiddos because of blood testing. they want moms and dads to know that there could be more to it. which by the way, i thought the clinic would be filled with kids who were just like grayson, but once again, i am learning that he and blake are unique. the kids there have bad eczema and some food allergies, but they actually do eat food. more on that later. oh and i got my make up done three times by a lady walking around with a makeup cart. hi.lar.i.ous. it looked good actually. i think she was like "oh that girl needs help", because at the end of the day, the producer offered me a makeover just because, for no reason. so funny.
our killer apartment overlooks a giant green beautiful lush park. at this moment they have the biggest movie screen EVER up in the middle of the park and are playing madagascar. we can see everything and hear every word. crazy. and so very very cool.
prayers? for a relaxing weekend, that wet wrap bath time would be successful and go well and that i would STOP freaking out about it. and that his prick tests would be done on monday and that we would have several negative ones so we will have good options for testing. i'm so excited.
