potty woe victory?

well, just one, out of millions. thanks for the comments jen, anna and debbie! i SO feel you. i wanted to tell you, but wasn't sure why you would look back at the comment page, that this morning, aislyn wanted to wear a princess pull up.( i told her awhile ago i wasn't buying them anymore if she didn't actually TRY to pee in the potty.) i bought her more, she found them, wanted to wear one. and then this morning she says "i'm going to the potty. you go that way. don't come in here mommy." so i hear her get situated, and lo and behold, i hear the tinkles! her pull up was dry and she got it all out in the potty by herself. WOW. however, i'm not holding my breath. that was only once. but i'll TAKE it... for today.

Go Aislyn!

There is nothing like the sound of tinkle hitting the water in the potty! Go celebrate! Have a good potty day, we wish you well!!!

well, I think that should tell you that she knows how to do it. So, you're just going to have to figure out what motivates her to do so. Just hang in there and try not to stress about it. SHe's not even 3 and she's got a will of steel. :) Eventually she'll just figure out that it's cool to do it. We'll let LIana go a few times next time we're over. Also, keep your promise with the pull-ups. If that's working, if she doesn't even try to make it to the potty, take them away again for a few days - no yelling or anything. Just say "too bad" or something and not let them come back out utnil she's gone on the potty a few times. It'll happen!! My dr. told me that to just hang in there - no one generally goes to kindergarten in diapers. :) We were pulling our hair out because LIana was completely potty trained for 6 months and then started having 4 accidents a day for almost 4 months. Took us forever and LOTS of urinalysis to figure out it was a Titus issue. you're a great mommy!!!!! anna

Amy-
Thank you for your sweet comment back to me. Ontop of our wedding being 2 months away...I am in the middle of a new job search, so needless to say- my face is broken out, my heart races about 923423098 beats per minute, I cry at the drop of ANYTHING..and I'm praying for peace. I'm way overdue for an update on my own blog..but I just haven't quite had the drive or desire to type much, because it wouldn't be a very uplifting post :( Not that my life is daisies and rainbows..but I just don't have the energy. Anyway...yes the Tahoe is WONDERFUL. I actually have always loved them (old bodystyle and new) and it's actually one of the only SUV's I would consider having. So it was quite the treat when I convinced my "I'll never drive an SUV" future hubby..that he should consider an SUV when he got rid of his car. He loves that thing...takes care of it better than he takes care of me!! (I kid, I kid). Ok..so no point to my essay here, I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to comment me back. Your children are precious, your photography is amazing, and I admire your strength.
