ballet. and makeup.

update: aislyn saw this post and said "mommy, we look like beautiful!" and no, neither of them are wearing fake eyelashes. just mascara.

the girls had their very first ballet recital this last weekend. and though we had to take out a loan for them to be in it AND for us to go to it, it was kinda fun. they were absolutely adorable. and yes, they're wearing makeup. courtney and i wanted to fit in with all the rest of the moms. and secretly, we kinda enjoyed putting it on them. they thought they were the STUFF. i think the mascara was their favorite. lipstick was a close second.

now, i must say, these are awful pictures. we couldn't use a flash and my super duper fun lens was too close to get more than one person at a time. so these are horrible, but you get the idea. now aislyn preferred to watch all the other dancers and occassionally throw in her own moves. braidyn on the other hand, had it down pat. but i'm not sure why she is taking flight in this picture. i don't remember that part of the routine.
anyhoo, hope you enjoy the pics, because that might be the last ballet lesson we take for awhile. i can't wait for soccer!
